The Team

To ensure clean and excellent water quality along with using as a minimum of natural freshwater sources, we treat our water internally in our RAS systems and will have a recirculation degree of 99.99%. This is only possible because we use the technology of RAS Zero Water Concept (ZWC). Before the effluent water leaves the facility, it will be treated in our own wastewater treatment plant.

What will the salmons eat and why?

The feed for our salmons will be ASC-certified with fully traceable ingredients, high nutritional values and securing optimal animal welfare. This will be secured through:

100% Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS) or similar certified soy- and soy-derived ingredients
No IUU (Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported) originated fish meal and fish oil
No fish species that are categorized as vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species
All fish used in the feed must be approved by a recognized authority who must be a member of the ISEAL Alliance

RE:OCEAN aims at reducing marine ingredients in general by using novel ingredients such as algae oil and insect meal. Furthermore, RE:OCEAN will monitor GHG emissions related to feed and feed usage
